Exciting News!

I shared the news with my students today that over the Fall Break my fiance, Steven, and I were married.  I am now Mrs. Grant.  I told the kids they could call me Ms. Gambrell, Mrs. Grant, or Mrs. G.  Ha ha, I'll answer to any of them!

Bossy R Sounds

 The students are looking for words or pictures that have the bossy r working with their vowel.  Each group has a different bossy r sound.

Todays NEWS!!

Today is Tuesday.  We had a long weekend .It was Fall break. On Friday and Saturday I spent the night at my ants house.On saturday my cousion  broke her arm. Her name is Stasia . She is in colorgaurd for  Dolton High Scool. On Saturday she had  a compatishon. She threw the flag in the air  when it came down it hit her arm really hard. Today is Thursday we went  to P.E. We ran the half of the time .Then we played dodge ball. It was fun . We  had a britto and  chiken sandwitch for lunch. We did rotates . Mrs Gambrell  gave us M&M`s and  Skittles . We did a venn diagram to see  who  liked what. 1 person liked  M&M`s , 15 people liked both and 6 people liked Skittles.

On Monday we went  to the Libery. It was are first time geting two books. We watched a video abowut this new book .The names in the book are silly like Ron Faster you get it? Run faster. On Monday we also went to Computer Lab.We got to have FREE TIME!!! We had cheese sticks and terry ocky chicken.

It is almost Cindy's birthday. Today we wiet to computerlab.We eat  fish and  cikin nugits.Today is Jasmine birthday we side happy brithday.And we work hard. We are salling candy and I went to my friands house  and she bote two. YAY!! It's Friday!!!

Today it's Jasmine's Birthday  and  she is 8 years old. they gave Jasmine a sticker. we took a photo together and then we went to computer lap. and we had fishsangwich and chicken nuggits for lunch.  we did a little bit of math and write know we're doing math work staitons and after work staitons we go home.

Interesting Week!

This is being written by the entire class.

This week was fun.  This week was the book fair.  We got to dress up in different costumes every day.  Monday we wore our favorite color from head to toe.  Tuesday we dressed up as our favorite heros.  Wednesday we had pajama day!  Thursday we dressed as nerds, and on Friday we had stuffed animal day.  Thursday and Friday we had NO AIR in the whole school!!! We were so hot! Today we had class in the gym all day, because it had air.  All three second grade classes were in the gym.  We worked hard not to bother any other class and we tried our best to learn.  We had fun in the gym! We got to dance at the end of the day and we excercised  too!  We had such a good time this week!!! We are ready to have a fun and interesting weekend!!

Today is Friday. Are best bob cat waz Victoria. A bestbob cat is a prson that dos there job. Today we had to take some tests. Today we had pizza and chikin nugits for lunch. Tomoro is Lupita's birthday. We are rady for the weekend!

A New Day

    Well today is a new day on the blog, I introduced the students to our blog and they wanted to get on it right away.  They asked if they could get on the blog while they were at their computer station during reading time! Ha, Ha! I told them they needed to wait until they had some free time! It's good that they are excited about it though! I have made some changes and added some pictures.  It's a work in progress, but I think it will be a fun process.  I showed the students how they could get on and make comments about the blog or what went on during their day.  Hopefully some students will try that out! It will be really interesting to see what some of the students have to say! Enjoy the pictures and there will be more to come!

    We have A LOT of birthdays this month!  I just wanted everyone to know who they are! Please wish them a happy birthday! Victoria Sept. 3rd, Lupita Sept. 11th, Berenise Sept. 12th, Elizabeth Sept. 14, Jazmine Sept. 24th, Cindy Sept. 28th, and most importantly Ms. Gambrell Sept. 30th ; ).

Welcome To the Blog!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to our class blog! This is a new adventure for me so I am excited about getting this started! Hopefully soon I will have pictures and news updates to share with family and friends!  I want to keep you posted on exciting things that are going on in our classroom!  So far we have had a wonderful start to the school year! We have 19 students in our class and every one is an interesting, and exciting person.  We have already had several birthday's in our classroom and celebrated those with homemade sugar cookies and juice.  We have also already had about three people loose a tooth!
